Tess Middlebrook began acting in New York City in 2007. A character actress, she recently appeared in The Pear Slices, a series of one act plays written and produced by local playwrights in the Bay Area. A chef in her former life, you can see Tess on the Food Network's Hit Series "CHOPPED". While cooking professionally in New York, Tess produced a web-series about an actress trapped in a cooks body called Cooking with Schizophrenia. She then wrote and produced her one woman show entitled American Flavored Dumb; the show explored a myriad of American women with inflated egos and low IQ's, YEAH, AMURICA! Since moving out to Los Angeles Tess has started writing a new web-series called Hill-brook Gardens. Gardens is Lisa Kudrow's The Comeback meets Parks and Recreation. In addition, Tess is taking classes at The Groundlings theater in Los Angeles and earning a special degree in "pretend". Since the start of her intermediate class, Tess has been filming a character a week for the past 4 weeks. All characters are original; written and created by Tess. Soap Box Betty Enjoy!
Tess has a BA in Theater from Hunter College. She's trained at Stella Adler, The UCB Theater, and through private coaches such as Sybil Lines (Royal Shakespeare Company) and Rebecca Drysdale (writer, Key & Peele). Tess hopes you are having a wonderful day and wants to share that talking about herself in the third person feels like public speaking, but to herself, it's a little weird. Ok, Bye!
