A chef by trade, you can see Tess on the Food Network's Hit Series "CHOPPED". Interested in learning to cook? Go to Tess The Chef for more info or follow me @tesscooks on instagram. While acting & cooking in New York, Tess produced a web-series about an actress trapped in a cooks body called Cooking with Schizophrenia. She then wrote and produced a one woman show entitled American Flavored Dumb; the show explored a myriad of American women with inflated egos and low IQ's, YEAH, AMURICA!
Currently, Tess is collaborating with director Megan Finely of the Rapid Descent Physical Performance Company in San Francisco. Tess is the head writer on Finley's latest project, Feed The Kitchen. Kitchen, is a live action comedy about two lovers who own a restaurant together and how their passion for food shapes their lives and those in their direct proximity, yes, the audience. That's right. This show entails a full dinner service, with real chefs and actors collaborating together.
Tess has a BA in Theater from Hunter College. She's trained at Stella Adler, The UCB Theater, The Groundlings Theater and through private coaches such as Sybil Lines (Royal Shakespeare Company), Rebecca Drysdale (writer, Key & Peele), Guy Stevenson (writer, Mad TV) and Karen Maruyama (Actor, Whose Line is it Anyway?) Tess feels pretty weird talking about herself in the third person, yes, she also wrote this bio. Have a Nice Day!
